If there are more gains to be had I don't (yet) know how to achieve them. We're now significantly faster at being mastodon than mastodon itself is, with no caching layers.
All queries I analyzed are now as optimized as they can be. The remaining query runtime is mostly planning time, the execution time is usually 3ms or less.
today in iceshrimp.net news: lots of websocket/signalr improvements! lots of progress on all fronts. We're still on target for a beta release at the end of the month!
overall i'm really really happy about how this project is going. we're so far along already, making steady progress, despite many people who had doubts about the viability of this project ^^
